Well, well, well - had a great day. Flew the babe for lots of flights for around an hours
airtime I suppose with three top landings on our small take-off paddock.
Absolutely wonderful! A complete dream come true. Loved every minute, have waited 17
years for this wing. It flys like strapping onto a rocket and going for a blast!
The Shockwave has fantastic performance and energy retention and that makes all the
difference when soaring. We had a 25-40km/hr day on a 35metre, 45 degree sea cliff, but
mostly the wind was 25-30km/hr and just occasionally ranging from 30 up to a very
occassional peak of 40km/hr.
This is our smallest cliff - of course I can't wait to try it on more powerful ones. Wind was
fairly smooth and feedback from the wing was reasonably gentle and pleasant. Of course the
stronger the wind gets, the more height I'll have and the easier it will be to soar - and more
relaxing, but it handled the 25-35km/hr wind very well, and 30-40km/hr was a taste of how
good it will be.
